COP31 - Antalya 2026 UN Climate Summit - Where Global Dialogue Becomes Global Action
Every minute, we lose 21 hectares of forest. But we know what works: J-REDD+ is delivering results and land rights are advancing. The challenges are complex, but together we can scale these solutions faster, because forests can’t wait.
Join the 'Forests Can't Wait' campaign
A collective campaign to build urgency around forest action while showing that solutions are already happening and need to be scaled.

The Key Messages
1.5°C will be exceeded. How high and for how long is still in our hands, and forests are a lever we can pull now.
Ask: Halt deforestation now to lower the peak.
From proof of concept to proof of implementation.
Ask: Scale it.
Results exist. Now they must be issued and paid faster and more predictably, so the money is reinvested in long-term climate action and further mitigation in the forest sector.
Ask: Cut transaction costs; streamline requirements.
The Tropical Forest Forever Facility (TFFF), bilateral deals and the bioeconomy all matter. REDD+ is the proven route.
Ask: More finance to REDD+ results.
A rights-based approach is the foundation. That means consolidating and advancing land tenure rights for Indigenous Peoples and local communities, and strengthening governance.
Ask: Rights at the centre of forest finance.
No one closes the gap alone.
Ask: Commit at COP31, deliver by COP32.
