Placing Nature at the Heart of Climate Action
Date: 17 November 2026
Time: 09:00–10:30 (GMT+3)
Venue: Action Pavilion, COP31 Blue Zone
Nature is fundamental to addressing the climate crisis, yet its potential remains underutilised in global climate action and finance. Protecting and restoring ecosystems, particularly forests, is essential to tackling climate change, reversing biodiversity loss and strengthening the resilience of communities.
This session will explore how nature-based solutions can be placed at the centre of climate strategies, with a focus on strengthening the integration of nature into climate policies, mobilising finance and accelerating implementation.
Discussions will highlight opportunities to scale up investment in nature, strengthen partnerships and demonstrate how forest protection, ecosystem restoration and sustainable land use can deliver measurable climate and biodiversity benefits.
Join policymakers, development partners and climate and nature practitioners to explore how greater ambition, stronger collaboration and innovative financing can put nature at the heart of global climate action.
Join us at the Germany Pavilion on 17 November.
