Behind every cup of coffee and bar of chocolate: investing in a sustainable future
How can investment in coffee and cocoa support producers, protect forests and scale sustainable, deforestation-free supply chains?
On 29–30 October 2026, FAO, UNDP and the World Bank will convene Investable Beans: De-risking and Financing Forest-positive Supply Chains at FAO headquarters in Rome, bringing together governments, producer organizations, businesses and financial institutions to explore practical investment solutions.
Organized through the UN-REDD Programme and the World Bank’s BioCarbon Fund Initiative for Sustainable Forest Landscapes (ISFL), the event builds on three regional gatherings held this year. Discussions will focus on investment opportunities, financial risk mitigation and enabling policies to scale sustainable coffee and cocoa production.
Join us online on 29 October! The first day will be webcast, with sessions exploring how to make sustainable production investable, strengthen business partnerships, reduce investment risks and foster collaboration across supply chains.
