In response to consultations with civil society networks at the global and regional levels, it was agreed that 4 regional representatives from civil society should participate in the Policy Board, with one member from each of the three UN-REDD Programme regions and one member representing the global North. A self-selection process to choose representatives was conducted by the Rights and Resources Initiative on behalf of the Independent Advisory Group on Forests, Rights and Climate Change.
