The Spanish report is the result of a collaboration between the Ministry of the Environment of Ecuador and the UN-REDD Programme, through UNEP's World Conservation Monitoring Centre, which took place throughout 2010. The report includes spatial analyses on the relationship between biomass carbon stocks (based on a preliminary biomass carbon dataset) and biodiversity, protected areas, forest cover loss and oil and gas exploitation, among others. The Spanish version is now available on Ecuador's Ministry of Environment website.
